Polosatiy: Hi Nutcase, tell something about yourself. What do you do and etc. NutCase: Hi I'm Alexander "NutCase" Digholm and have been playing FPS games since 1996. I started out with games like Quake and Duke Nukem 3D but eventually got hooked to Quake and it's online version QW. While playing QW I stumbled across this guy who called himself LakermaN_of_SC and he gave me a demo of him playing a clan member of Deathrow at the time. He won the game 29-0 on DM2 and I was amazed with his skill. He then told me he was coming back to Sweden (since he was in the USA at the time) and he also told me that he lived in the same town as I, Uppsala. And so we met when he came back and he took me and my friend Yo to the Swedish Chefs. Then when Q3 came out I tried it and discarded it like many QW players did. But LakermaN insisted that I'd try it some more and eventually I started liking the slower game Q3 is compared to QW. So I joined Allstars thanks to Laker...again... And as of october last year Allstars stopped playing q3. And I stopped for 3 months. Today, 2.5 week since I started playing again, I play with the best again. I consider myself a VERY lucky guy and I hope I can give my new clan what they expect of me. Today I'm learning alot from tech, my In-Real-Life friend who was, in the beginning, learning stuff from me :). He's a great player and a damn railwhore, luv ya homie. All in all I'm looking forward to the following months playing with Scandinavia.
Polosatiy: What can you say about team Scandinavia, who are they? Who is in the team and when you decided to play together? NutCase: About one week ago ScA-Hooker queried me and said that he wanted to start up a Q3 section for their clan Scandinavia, So he set me up as team captain and gave me free hands to choose a team. I thought for a while and decided that if I should start a Q3 Section I wanted the best. Where did I find these? Well to me it was obvious, eSports. So I talked to tech about it and he then talked to the rest of the guys and they all decided they wanted to join. Xorgal on the other hand told me he didn't feel like he was at the top of his game and that he would take a break. We'll see if he starts playing again or not. He's currently owning BIG time in Dark Age of Camelot. The lineup consists of tech, proZaC, PaniCore, fox and me - NutCase. And not to forget our girl Nicole who we all love very much :) *smooch*
Polosatiy: What do you think about russians and russian girls? NutCase: Well, since my mother is from Russia, which makes me half russian, I obviously like russians. One thing I regret is not taking russian classes when I was younger cause I only know basic russian. I try to talk to my mother in russian as much as I can. In the Reading and writing department I'm totaly lost. Russian girls are very pretty I must say. My mother is 47 years old and still looks like a model. You go mom! :)
Polosatiy: Have you ever meet Nicole in real life? What is eSports/ScA in real life? Are you just playing together or doing something else? Parties, etc... you know :) NutCase: Polos, you horny dog :) Yes, I have met Nicole in real life and she is the sweetest, funniest, and coolest girl I've met in quite some time. As for meeting the others I constantly hang with tech and go to parties togehter with him since we are IRL friends as I mentioned before. Although I can't keep up with him, he's a party machine and VERY good with the girls, he's a 'Bock' :))).. as for proZaC I don't meet him as often as tech cause he lives in Stockholm. I met fox at the Scandinavian Qualifier for WCG. A very nice and cool dude and we all love his dialect :) PaniCore and I have been at the same LANs a couple of times but we've never talked. But not to worry, we all get together in 2 weeks competing in either Birdie in my home town Uppsala or a Norwegian LAN called Gamesphere. Time will tell which LAN it will be.
Polosatiy: What Lakerman is doing now? I know, you are friends and playing for SC and Allstars together, so what is it now? NutCase: Laker is just enjoying the other aspects of life right now. He got tired of Q3 and just wanted to do other things. We sometimes get together and just hang out, play cards etc. The reason behind us not hanging out more often is that he lives at the other end of town and it takes about an hour for him to get here. And neither of us has aquired a drivers license yet, *doh*. I'm gonna begin to learn how to drive in a couple of weeks when I have recovered from my operation I had 1,5 week ago. My appendix got infected and had to be removed, but don't worry I feel great now :)
Polosatiy: Do you like ice hockey? What do you think about defeat of Swedish national team in Olympic games? Did you watch these games? And what's your favorite kind of sport? NutCase: It's funny you should ask. I started playing icehockey when I was 12 years old and played for four years. Icehockey is my definite favourite in sports. And to tell you the least I got REALLY dissapointed when Sweden lost to Belarus. It was a disaster. Naturally I was cheering for Russia also and got abit dissapointed when they too were knocked out of the tournament in a very close game against the USA.
Polosatiy: Why Allstars got deformed? Well I knew about a team called Quadarena Allstars and they have some good players like LakermaN, proZaC, Blue, Aim, Treble, you and DOOMer, I've thought that the whole fucking world will be owned. What happened? Did you have any problems with Quadrena guys or it was something inside a team? NutCase: The Quadarena guys which consists of Ramirez and Deelay (their Q3 Nicknames). They are both awesome guys and did alot to help the clan. They even paid a great deal of the costs to send us to competitions out of their own pockets. As for the team, LakermaN, proZaC, Blue, Aim, Treble and DOOMer. Almost everyone have different personalities and still we got along really great. I have had a superbly fun time with these guys and I hope to have as much fun with Scandinavia. So if everything was so great, why didn't it turn out as most expected? You might ask. Well if I would guess on something it would be that we all had a different view on how teamplay should be played. DOOMer and Blue had the "Nine style", Treble and proZaC had the more "All out assault" approach while Aim, Laker and I were the "lockdown" types.
Polosatiy: Tell me who you are? Nutcase is a swedish guy, who wakes up at the morning and goes to the school. After that he plays some Quake and goes to the party with a girlfriend. Is that you? NutCase: Hmm, to a degree. I graduated high school last spring and have been working for almost a year, tried atleast. I'm planning on continuing my studies at university level this fall. I haven't decided what direction I'll take yet but it'll work out somehow. As for partying, I'm not a party freak but I do go out here and there. Girlfriend... haven't had one in quite a while. I had one for one week last year but she wasn't my type so I had to let her go :) I guess I'm kinda shy if I should throw the blame on something :D
